Capital & Community Infrastructure Funding Scheme

The Port Regional Council is committed to supporting the eleven Local Councils within the Region in delivering projects that improve residents’ quality of life and contribute towards the sustainable development of their localities.

These Guidelines establish the framework governing the allocation of financial assistance for capital projects that directly implement the objectives identified in the Port Regional Council Strategy 2024–2029 and the priorities emerging from the Social Impact Assessment 2024–2029.

The Scheme seeks to encourage Local Councils to invest in permanent infrastructure and long-term community assets that create lasting benefits for residents while strengthening environmental sustainability, accessibility, community wellbeing and local identity.

This Scheme does not finance one-off events, festivals, entertainment activities or operational expenditure.
