It-Tielet Spazju is the Port Regional Council’s next step in a sustained, evidence-led journey towards a more connected, inclusive, and artistically vibrant region. It emerges from the learning, lessons and relationships built through two landmark projects —Integrarti Festival and NEXUS — and the project proposes to deepen their reach by expanding the circle of participation to schools, elderly care homes while making use of public spaces that connect our communities.
Where Integrarti opened doors between long-established local communities and newly arrived residents of diverse ethnic backgrounds, and where NEXUS built intergenerational bridges between the elderly and children through shared creative exploration, It-Tielet Spazju asks: what happens when we bring all of these groups into the same room — and then into the same street, the same school, the same square?
The answer we propose is a shared cultural infrastructure: a living network of trustworthy, accessible creative spaces where solidarity is not declared but practised, and where participation in the arts is understood as a fundamental right.
