Sitt xhur nieqes jum (Birgu)

Sitt Xhur Nieqes Jum is an artistic and theatrical evening taking place on Friday 24th July in Birgu, making use of the city’s newest cultural venue—the Greek Theatre and gardens set beneath the fortifications by the sea.

The event marks the first theatrical performance to be staged on this newly introduced platform, presenting Zararti’s Sitt Xhur Nieqes Jum, a play written by Michael Piscopo. The production brings together theatre, place, and landscape, activating this historically rich setting in a new and immersive way.

More information will be announced in due course.

Co-created with the Birgu Local Council, this event celebrates the intersection of contemporary performance and the unique heritage of the fortified city.

Part of the Regional Mosaic initiative.
